Funbrain
A children's web site used by teachers, librarians, and parents for educational learning.  It offers more than 100 free games, online books and comics for preschool children to Grade 8.
 


KidsKnowit Network
KidsKnowit was started in 1998 by an elementary school teacher in Salt Lake City, UT.  Its mission is now to provide fun, free, and innovative educational resources that will reach every child, in every corner of the globe.



National Geographic Kids
On-line children's resources on global topics from country studies, georaphy, history, archaeology and natural science.



PBS Kids
From the US Public Broadcasting Service (PBS).  Provides children's educational games, activities, and videos based on PBS television programming from the United States.



Primary Games
Free web-based educational games for children covering topics of language arts, science, math and social studies.  Partner site is designed for teachers is located at
Teacher View. 


Sheppard Software
Hundreds of free online games and activities for children that are fun and educational.  Topics include math, geography, animals, and more.



XtraMath
Created by a Seattle-based non-profit organization.  It is a free web program that teaches addition, subraction, multiplication and division facts which are critical to success in mathematics.  For all ages.

Learn English (free from the British Council, UK)
Learn English online with the help of this free website from the British Council in the UK.  Students learn using games, stories, listening activities and grammar exercises.



Learnng English Kids (free from the British Council, UK)
Designed with children in mind, this is another free website for learning English from the British Council in the UK.  Site offers games, stories, listening activities and grammar exercises.



Teaching English (resources from the British Council, UK)
A great resource for teachers of English.  Web site includes free lesson plans, a range of activities and lesson ideas which are based around online materials from the British Council's LearnEnglishKids web site.



Red Rock English
Learning Centre

An online English Learning center in which students can choose to study English within an online classroom or private tutoring setting.  Cost varies depending on learning mode selected.

FreeRice
Freerice.com is a free educational game website for all ages, with a vision of ending hunger around the world.  It is run entirely for free and at no profit.  All money (100%) raised by site sponsors (determined by grains of rice earned from correct responses to game questions) goes to the United Nations World Food Programme for rice distribution.  Learn vocabulary, math, science, humanities, and more!  And every time you play, you are helping to fight global hunger!    


Internet4Classrooms
A free web portal for teachers, parents and students of all ages.  A great resource for classroom instruction, online technology tutorials, developing project ideas, and reinforcing specific subject matter areas both in the class and at home.


Khan Academy
Khan Academy is a non-profit organization providing free K-12 education.  Students can make use of an extensive video library, practice exercises and assessments from any computer that has Internet access.  Coaches, parents, and teachers have unprecedented visibility into what their students are learning and doing.  Anybody can use the entire Khan Academy for free using a Google or Facebook account to sign in (Parents must create an account for any child under age 13). 
 

Library of Congress
The United States Library of Congress serves as the research arm of the U.S. Congress.  It is also the largest library in the world.  The link to Global Gateway, Centers for International Research, provides written collectons and materials in many languages and scripts, arranged by four major global regions plus English-speaking nations.


National Geographic
The National Geographic is one of the world's largest non-profit scientific and educational institutions.  Its interests include geography, archaeology and natural science, the promotion of environmental and historical conservation.


PBS Teachers: Classroom Resources
PBS Teachers provides PreK-12 educational resources and activities for educators that is  tied to PBS programming.
